What's the best way to start learning Russian?

Imagine that I have no knowledge of Russian at all.  Where should I begin?

Russian alphabet, of course!!! by the way it's easy to read in russian you'll see as soon as you learn the letters!!! go ahead and good luck

Yes you are 100% correct! I first learned the alphabet and now slowly, but atleast I can read :) and I always have my Russian dictionary with me :)

It's like learning to read all over again because old letters have new sounds which can be missleading. Like Helga and Joey said the alphabet first is good.
