I read in one place that 'päivää' meant 'day' and in another place that it meant 'afternoon'. Does it mean both or just one?

By the way, thank you for inviting me!

Well 'päivä' means 'day', but 'päivää' means 'afternoon'. You know 'hyvää päivää' means 'good afternoon' but of course you can say it 'päivää' = ''afternoon'. You got it? :)

You're welcome :D

Yes, thank you!

Terve!

I've asked a question on answers: "Missä on ----?" or "Missä ---- on?".
How do you say "Where is <something>?".

Exemple..: Where is my cat? - Missä on minun kissani or Missä minun kissani on?..
Where am I? - Missä minä olen?..

Umm.. Is that what you were looking for..? Or did I misunderstand your queston? :D

Yes.... and no....

I meant the difference between using the verb 'to be' before or after the noun....
I got from Silja that it is refered to whether you know the place or not.

Missä pankki on? - You know the bank is near but not exactly and you're asking for further instructions.
and
Missä on pankki? - You thought the bank was somewhere but is not there anymore.
