The first thing you have to do as an italki language teacher is to register an account on italki. In case you haven't registered yet, you can Sign up here.

In general, we recommend using as much real information about yourself as you can provide. For example, we recommend a real picture of yourself. As a teacher we think it is much more important that you have a "real" identity. Students are going to be spending money for your services. It is much harder to build credibility and trust if your picture is not an honest depiction of who you are. It is not in your interests to be an anonymous teacher. (Which person do you think will get more student responses?)
