The English Alphabet is made up of 26 letters (see below), 5 of which are called vowels (a,e,i,o,u) the rest are conternents. Every word in the English dictionary is spelt by combining these letters.

In the UK, the Alphabet song is sung to children as a way of remembering the Alphabet.
The lyrics for the song are as followed:
a-b-c-d-e-f-g h-i-j-k-lmnop q-r-s, t-u-v w--x, y-and-z Now I know my ABCs next time won't you sing with me?
