During all the lesson, you have to know that :
S = Subject (Sujet)
V =Verb (Verbe)
N =Noun (Nom)

The basic structure of a french sentence is :

S + V + N/V
When the second verb is conjugated, it is in the infinitive form.

Example :
I want to eat a cake.
Je veux manger un gâteau.

He wants to go out.
Il veut aller dehors.

Edit

Here is the conjugation of the verb "To want" ("Vouloir") :

Je veux = I want
Tu veux = You wantBR} Il veut / Elle veut = He wants / She wants
On veut = Neutral
Nous voulons = We want
Vous voulez = You want
Ils veulent / Elles veulent = They want
