Suffix declination according to the rules of vowel harmony

Suffix declination according to the rules of vowel harmony Suffixes come in sets of 1, 2, or 4, which in this document we will call "forms" (1), (2), and (4). Throughout this guide, when a (1), (2) or (4) is indicated after a suffix, this shows the form of the suffix. When it is form (2) or (4), you will need to use the second rule of harmony to pick the matching form of the suffix. Note that every suffix of form (1) is automatically an exception to the 1st rule of vowel harmony, because the suffix always contains a thin or a thick vowel, and will clash with the preceding vowels of the word. Examples: • Form (1) : -ki (that of) • Form (2) : -ler, -lar (plural) • Form (4) : -di, -dı, -dü, -du (past tense), as in: geldi, yazdı, gördü, kondu.
