Q: What shall I do if I can not get the confirmation email after trying to send it several times?
A: Please send an email to feedback@italki.com with your italki registration email and your italki display name. And the italki support team will reply to you asap. And your account will be confirmed manually by the tech team within one or two working days. And you don't need to resend the confirmation if it has been confirmed manually in the italki system.


Q: What shall I do if I want to change my registration email?
A: Please send your italki display name, your current registration email and the new email to feedback@italki.com. And the tech team will update your information in the system within one or two working days.


Q: How can I make more friends at italki?
A: If you want to find more friends from italki, there are some suggestions for you.
1. Complete your personal profile first and introduce yourself. People might see your profile first and then decide whether to become your friend. So better get a nice looking photo and detailed personal introduction.
2. Go to Find a Language Parter first. Refine your search criteria. Browse the member list and view their personal profiles. Click on Add to Friends on their personal profile pages. Send out the invitation and wait for the reply.
3. Check on italki Answers and try to answer questions in the languages you speak and you learn. A lot of friends of mine come from Answers.
4. Go to Language Index. You will find a list of members speaking or learning that language. And send an invitation to those you want to be be friends with.

Q: How can I report a bug of italki?
A: If you find some bugs when you use italki, please report the problem to feedback@italki.com with the following information:
-italki display name
-registration email
-Language version (English or others)
-Browser version (IE 7 or others)
-Details of the bug
-Screenshot of the webpage (It would be very helpful if there is a screenshot)
The tech team will start problem shooting after they receive your feedback. And it might take some time for them to solve the problem.

A: Please send those errors to feedback@italki.com with the following details:
1. The url for the errors
2.The translation error
3.The correction


Q: How can I report scammers or spammers?
A: Please send the messages or emails sent by those scammers and scammers to feedback@italki.com and don't forget to cite their italki display name, italki ID if you can find those.


Q: Why are some people sending me emails about they are willing to share millions of dollars with me ?
A: It sounds fishy when someone is willing to share with you a lot of fortune without a good reason. I have received those emails too. The best place for those emails are the Trash box.


Q: How can I post a voice or video clip in Group Discussion?
A: Simply copy the voice clip shown on other webpages and then drag it to your group discussion editor. Save and check the webpages. For sample about voice clip display, please check this page at sample video and audio display in italki groups

Q: What shall I do if I can not post a comment on a member's blackboard/ send him one inbox message/ chat with others ?
A: It is related with the member's personal preference settings and your relationship with the member.
italki members can select one of the following
1.all italki members can contact me (Those who are not friends can also post messages on my blackboad)
2.only italki friends can contact me (Those who are not your friends won't be able to leave their messages or chat with me)


To see whether the member select 1 all members or 2 only italki friends, simply check on the color of the option.
If the Chat Now or/and Send Messages are in black, then you can leave them messages or chat with them right away.
If those options are in gray, you will have to Add to Friends first. After they confirmed your invitation, you can start language exchange and learning right away.
