It´s three o´clock= são três horas
It´s five thirty= são cinco e meia/ são cinco e trinta (meia(o)= half)
At what time ?= à que horas ?
At four o´clock= às quatro (horas)
8 a.m.= oito (horas) da manhã (manhã= morning)
6 p.m.= seis (horas) da tarde (tarde= afternoon)
8 p.m.= oito (horas) da noite (noite= night)
until 11 o´clock= até às onze horas
I study until 11 o´clock= eu estudo até às onze horas (I study= eu estudo/ until= até)
From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.= das oito da manhã às seis da tarde

- floor= chão ("chão" means floor in the meaning of ground,soil) :
there is a shoe on the floor= tem um sapato no chão (tem=there is)
as primeiras pessoas= the first persons (a pessoa=the person)
os primeiros dias= the first days (o dia= the day)
- the word "time" has two meanings and different words in portuguese:
time= vez - (two times a week= duas vezes por semana) (semana=week)
time= tempo (period of time, a portion of time)
I don´t have time now= eu não tenho tempo agora (tenho=have/ agora=now)
We waited for a time and then went home= nós esperamos por um tempo e então fomos para casa. (nós esperamos por=we waited for/ então=then/ fomos=went)
