《施氏食狮史》an article u may understand by looking at it but not reading it:D

《施氏食狮史》

石室诗士施氏,嗜狮,誓食十狮。施氏时时适市视狮。十时,适十狮适市。是时,适施氏适市。氏视是十狮,恃矢势,使是十狮逝世。氏拾是十狮尸,适石室。石室湿,氏使侍拭石室。石室拭,氏始试食是十狮。食时,始识是十狮,实十石狮尸。试释是事。

u may notice: the same "shi", different tones

There was a certin time that some so-called scholars suggested that Chinese characters should be eliminated and should use pinyin instead. This article was written to prove how wrong the theory can be:D

Chinese is a symbol language, and we Chinese do love those humble but lovely characters:P

Enjoy it~~

It reminds me of a similar text talking about 40 lions, either dead lions or stone lions, outside a temple. I can recognize many of your "shi", but your text is still too difficult for me. In French, to express such a difficulty, we say: "c'est du chinois pour moi", which could be translated by "it's like Chinese to me".
