In these lessons we will study when to use the words Nang and Ng. Although they have the same pronunciation but they have different meaning. I know these two words are sometimes confusing for Filipino(Tagalog) language learners. Now let me clarify how to use them properly and in the correct manner. We use Nang when we want to mean how, when, for and so that. We also use Nang when we want to emphasize the repetitive nature of an action. And also we use Ng as "of " in English. To pronounce these two words correctly, you need more practice. The pronunciation of Nang sounds like Na + ng = Nang. To make "ng" a little bit more easier to pronounce, letter "n" and "g" must be combined. The same as Ng = Na + ng = Ng. Now let's take a look with the examples of Nang and Ng.

21. pillar of faith - haligi ng pananampalataya 22. pearl of the Orient - perlas ng Silangan 23. symptom of diseases - sintomas ng mga karamdaman
Now we will use the word Nang to write phrases and sentences. Take a look of the examples and study them carefully to improve your knowledge.

Here is a tip on how to use "ng" in some of Filipino(Tagalog) words. I'm sure, one day you will use these words for daily conversation, writing some sentences or phrases. Here are some examples of words using "ng".
1. in my house - sa aking bahay 2. in his house - sa kanyang bahay 3. in their house - sa kanilang bahay 4. in our house - sa ating bahay/sa aming bahay
