Songs are a very interesting and quick way of picking up sentences or phrases. However Bombay has developed its own dialect and movies like “Munnabhai” uses it in songs and dialogs. Since India is a land of many languages, Hinglish (Hindi with many English words) has become common among the young. If you can learn Hinglish, you can very well get along with the Indian crowd.
