"On my mother's/fathers side" ?
well...it's a bit different and difficult to express? hmm
you can use '어머니쪽(외가), 아버지쪽(친가)'
->>어모니편에 and 아버지편에, better expression will like following:
어머니쪽의formal(모친쪽의-other people can use this for very formal conversation), 아버지쪽의(부친쪽의)
->>> 내/제 어모니편에 and 내/제 아버지편에
need to be careful, when we use this word usually we need to be polite and formal. we don't say '내 어머니(내 아버지)' have to be '제 어머니/아버지(모친, 부친).
ok. a bit confusing? we do have words for those people especially. so how about learn that today?
<친가(family on father side)>
grandfather, grandmother
친할아버지(친조부 or 조부)/할아버지, 친할머니(친조모 or 조모)/할머니
uncle, aunt
1. 친삼촌, 고모+작은어머니, 큰어머니, 고모부
this can be tricky. 친삼촌 can be your uncles but when they get married, words are different. yes, u can still call them 삼촌 but this will be better.
when they are younger than your father, we can call them 작은아버지/작은아빠 and his wife will be 작은어머니/작은엄마 or 숙부, 숙모. when they are older than your father, they will be 큰아버지/큰아빠, 큰어머니/큰엄마(his wife) or 백부, 백모.
and your father's sisters will be 고모. if she's older than your father, she will be 큰고모. and if she's married, her husband will be 고모부. ok, you want to be really polite and formal? then you can simply add -님 for those word like, 숙부님, 숙모님, 백부님, 백모님, 고모님, 큰고모님, 작은아버님, 큰아버님. but we don't really use 삼촌님. hehe
2. cousin
친사촌(사촌)
well we do have more than cousin for family tree, but that will be too much for you. so today it will be this much. ok, we do have cousin who's a girl and boy and female and male. we do have words for them also.
(친)사촌 누나(누이)/언니, 사촌 형(형님)/오빠(오라버니), 사촌 (여, 남)동생 - older female cousin, older male cosin, younger cousins
<외가(family on mother side)>
1. 외할아버지, 외할머니(외조부, 외조모)
easy for grandparents. same as father side but you can simply add 외-
2. 외삼촌, 외숙모, 이모, 이모부
ok, easy for 외삼촌, 외숙모? but we dont call 외작은어머니, 외큰어머니, so, 외삼촌, 외숙부, 외숙모 will do all mostly. Mother's sister will be 이모(님), if she's older, 큰이모, if younger, 작은이모. same as their husbands, 큰이모부, 작은이모부.
3. 외사촌
외사촌누나(누이)/언니, 외사촌형(형님)/오빠(오라버니), 외사촌(여/남)동생
very complicated? well Korean people value their family so much that's why there are lots of words for them. :) you can simply ask me about that.

On my father's side, I have x cousins.
