lol..I studied Bangla all summer for about 30 hours a week at IUB. I was in an intensive summer language program. I know the basic phrases and alot of vocabulary: fruits, flowers, animals, food, etc. It is hard conjugating my verbs and learning the verbs. Do you have any advice to help me learn grammar?
I see... Bengali like most asian languages is structurally very different from English... So you may find the grammar a bit freaky ;) but its kinda easy if you practice... Knowing grammar is important but learning grammar isnt!!! If you go thru a lot of "example sentences" and stuff you should automatically get the "feel" as to how the sentences are being constructed. Here's an example 1. Fool ta holud (fool=flower; fool ta=the flower; holud=yellow) THE FLOWER IS YELLOW 2. Fool ta holud rong-er (ronger = of color; rong = color) THE FLOWER IS OF YELLOW COLOR Hope this helps(^__^)
If you want to learn it seriously you need to be consistent.Check my posts in this blog http://talkingbees.blogspot.com/ and contact me if you want to have regular classes.
