If you think that you have your answer, then you're not confused. Stay strong with your conviction of what you think is right and what will help you with furthering your education, Yuan. Good luck.
I think you should go home.I know what you're thinking, that it would be better to stay at school and to keep studying, keep practicing etc - because it's not long until you graduate - but in my opinion, it's about work and life balance. When I was teaching in China, my students studied from about 7am until 9pm, every single day. They were only let out of the classroom for 10 minute breaks between class, 30 minutes for lunch and the occasional sport lesson or cleaning (where they would all set out to clean their dorms and the school). These guys are not learning any more by cramming it in with every daylight hour. What they were missing out on was developing as normal teenagers - when I compare the quality of their lives to western teenagers....well there's a massive difference. Of course circumstances in China are again very different to my own country, though I still feel these kids were studying far too long. There comes a point where if you study for so long that you're not really concentrating anyway. I think it's important for you to go home, spend some time with your family, work your part-time job as you did last summer and basically live life. Enjoy your freedom. There is nothing to stop you studying at home either you know - though it does take a lot more motivation, and well, I know you :) Either way is ok, but if you ask me, I think its important for you to spend some time with your friends and family back home too.
