Resolved questions
how confusing Thai letters
I've been learning Thai for a week.... I think it's not that easy, esspecially about the letters. They make me confused. Why there are some consonants or vowels with the same final. For example the word "rak" ( รัก )
Is it ok if I write (ราค ) or ( ระ ข ) ????
anybody help me :-(

salamat !
yeah, it is.
the final ending may sounds similar, but it written forms must be clearified.
this make the language rich. unlike in latin-alphabet, you always, ending almost the same.
in thai, and some asian languages are the same.
even it sounds the same but writing is different. and must write different, unless it doesn't mean manything.
but, mostly the are short and long vowels
ัก short
าก long
on top of this, the 5 different tones will give different meaning too.
so, the more you study the more you will familiar to it.
cheers!
