Can Electronic Dictionary Kill the Printed Dictionary?

I'm asked to write an essay with this title. My view is that electronic dictionary can not kiss the printed one entirely. I want to know how I can illustrate my point. The essay should be no less than 800 words. I have to hand it in on this Sunday.

Actually, the smartphone will kill the electronic dictionary before it has a chance to finish killing the printed dictionary.

When I first started studying Chinese, almost all of my classmates had paper dictionaries. Now almost all of them look up the word on their iPhones.

Of course, a paper dictionary is still better in many situations. On airplanes you have to turn off all electronics, so only a paper dictionary can help you there. Also, the quality of a paper dictionary is much more reliable. A lot of online dictionaries or dictionary apps are also high quality, but many of them are full of mistakes or are missing words. That's what happens when you can only sell a dictionary for 99 cents (or free). A lot of work goes into making a good dictionary, and that work costs money.

    Yea certainly can kill
