Seems that the sentence is from a literature text (about nezami ganjavi). I'm not an expert in this field and I haven't heard the word before, and i couldn't find it's meaning (are you sure about the spelling of the word?). only thing I could do was to find the word (متحلی) not (متحّلی) in an online dictionary. I send you the links and you maycheck the meanings and the word yourself.
