How to learn a new language.... :-?

I thinking you should begin with the alphabet and transcriptions

Start with creating a good pronanciation and having a really strong reason/interest to do that. Then - buy tutorial and a friend whom with you would do it. It worked with me )))
Start with small things! and, if you put much time and effort in them - in half a year you would be able to use your knowledge ))

If it is a slovenik one, you need travelling to the country the language of which you learn. As for me, it is impossible to learn, for example, russian without hearing it in real life. There are a lot differences between writing russian and oral.
