An oxymoron is a combination of two terms or words that are contradictory to each other. The two words mean opposite things, such as:
    ADULT CHILDREN
    ADVANCED BASIC
    ADVANCED BEGINNER
    AFRICAN AMERICAN
    AGGRESSIVE DEFENSE
    AGREE TO DISAGREE
    ALMOST ALWAYS
    ALMOST EMPTY
    ALMOST EXACTLY
If someone used two words like this, you could say, "well, that's an oxymoron for you!"

Here are some common examples of oxymoronic expressions
act naturally, random order, original copy, conspicuous absence, found missing, alone together, criminal justice, old news, peace force, even odds, awful good, student teacher, deafening silence, definite possibility, definite maybe, terribly pleased, ill health, turn up missing, jumbo shrimp, loose tights, small crowd, and clearly misunderstood.
    Examples:
-"Faith unfaithful" kept him "falsely true".
-Though she is just a teenager, people often call her "little old lady" because her thoughts, which are thoughtful and mature like adult is different from her friends.
-Jack Marshall had an end-stage cancer when he was 6 years, but he was always optimistic, lovely and brave to face with his circumstance. We all called him "little BIG man" or "little HERO".
We use the oxymoron in speech in which is apparently contradictory terms appears in conjunction.
    Hope it help:)
