Why do people hate Ahmadinejad?
Ahmadinejad seems like a pretty good guy....why do people hate him so much? Why does the US media hate him so much?
He is right in that the US policies towards Iran doesn't make a lot of sense and the fear of a nuclear Iran doesn't make a lot sense either. They are seriously getting ready to start a big war against Iran simply because Iran *might* *someday* have a nuclear bomb.
I can also sympathize with his opinion on the situation in Israel.
Here in the US, the media outlets make Ahmadinejad out to be someone very similar to Adolf Hitler. They portray him as this religous fanatic terrorist who is incredibly anti-semitic and desperate to get nuclear weapons and nuke Israel as soon as possible. It doesn't seem this narrative is very accurate based on these interviews and what I know. It seems the media is misrepresenting Ahmadinejad in order to drum up support for another war.

The reason I am asking is because I recently watched him interview with Larry King, Charlie Rose, and Fox News' Shawn on Youtube...he seemed like a modern day Henry David Thoreau...very principled and favoring peace and justice....he also made a lot of sense and seemed to have the best opinons on the topics that were discussed. The interviewers on the other hand seemed extremely hostile and seemed to be simply out to make him look bad, but he was able to parry all of their attacks very well. He interviewed better than most American politicians such as Obama, W. not all the people hate him here in Iran.like any politician everywhere he has cons and pros.some people here have many reasons to hate him,it needs a long explanation.
but in your country as you said its because of media.he's not exactly like what they say.
something else;don't believe all of his words.he lies(like many other politicians).
as you said he's smart and his words are very convincing.
