How fast a new coined Americanism spreads out through the world?

For instance, could I say to a man in the UK (or somewhere else) at the age of forty or thereabouts " that's a bomb diggity " and get myself understood?

I don't know what it means.
I know something like, "go diggidy" - I think it was boys2men?? And I know the sample they used was definitely from Al Green's song, "Grandma's Hands".

As an American, never...EVER say "that's a/the bomb diggity." People will look at you like you are from the 1990s :)
