Both sentences are correct, but this is an example of a "squinting" modifier. The word "squinting" means a two-way modifier, and the placement affects the meaning of the sentence. Did Jenny not intend to go home? Or did Jenny not want to go home again under any circumstance?

I think both forms are correct and the second form has a stronger meaning.
