You can find a lot of information about Dutch cinema, plus many examples of movies, on this Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinema_of_the_Netherlands. As for tv series, the ultimate Dutch tv series is "Goede tijden, slechte tijden", the longest running soap opera in the Netherlands. It's quite easy to follow, even if you don't understand a lot of Dutch. :D
