    Hi,

Let's me correct the dictation first. That word is spelled" Suspicious". Shady or Suspicious Charater is one you cannot realize its origin. Shady Characters usually put sth in action too early. For instance, you would like to hsve a friend online and you find one. He tell u some truth about his life honestly. The truth makes u block him. Ur character here is a bit shaky because it have been affected so easily. Take Care

In my opinion, there isn't much difference in the meaning. Both mean that the person is not honest or trustworthy. In this usage, the word 'shady' is more informal than 'suspicious'. It is a colloquialism.

The word "shady" is figurative. Some parts of the person's character are "in the shade", ie. difficult to see (and therefore trust).

"Suspicious" means you see something in that person's behaviour that causes you to mistrust them.
