Expressing need

What's the difference between the suffix 'mal/meli', gerek, gerekli, lazim, gerekiyor and ihtiyac׀m?

And the difference between, 'bu' and 'bunu'?

And in genitive, is the translation for ' I see Ahmet's house' is 'Ahmet'in evini gӧrüyorum' ?

The suffix -meli/malı means necessity and obligation.

Ödevini yapmalısın. (You must do your homework)
Burada sigara içmemelisin. (You musn't smoke here.)

However, sometimes it can be used when giving advice.

Bu filmi kesinlikle izlemelisin! (You definitely must/should watch this film.)

"gerek, gerekiyor, lazım" can all be used as a verb in a sentence and means need or necessity

    Ödevini yapman gerek.
    Ödevini yapman gerekiyor.
    Ödevini yapman lazım.
(You need to do your homework.)

"gerekli" is usually an adjective and means, necessary, essential, requried.

Gerekli belgeyi imzaladın mı?(Did you sign the necessary document?)

    İhtiyacı olmak = to need
Biraz tuza ihtiyacım var. ( I need some salt.)
Sana ihtiyacım var. (I need you.)

"Bu" is a demonstrative and means "this".

    Bu kitap... (This book...)
    Bu araba...(This car...)
    Here they're used as adjectives.

Bu dün aldığım etek. (This is the skirt I bought yesterday)
Here it's used as a pronoun.

Bunu dün aldım. (I bought this yesterday.)
Here it's also pronoun but with the suffix -ı,-i-,-u, it becomes the object of the verb.

Ahmet's house = Ahmet'in evi. The translation is correct.
