Why สระ อะ and sometimes สระ โอะ ?

I have been studying reading and writing more and am quite happy with all consonants and vowels. BUT, I still have one question...

In the word ดลก why do we have a hidden sara a: and then a hidden sara o: ?
I understand the hidden vowel form but don't understand how I know which one it is if it is hidden. E.g. ดลก could be ด + โอะ + ล + อะ + ก. But actually it's ด + อะ + ล + โอะ + ก.

Is there a rule for knowing between the two hidden vowels?

let me try to explain you :
    the word
    ดลก X
    ตลก /

why we pronounce อะ in ลก as โอะ
    look at the consenant ล

    this word is speciall
and many of thai consenant aren't pronounce the way it write,
and must depends on wether the letters is high tone/middle tone/ or low tone letter.(for this you must ask you language expert to get deep explaination. becuz normal thai can't explain you.

now back to the word ล
quite often this letter will omited with ห so must seen as หล but we just drope the letter ห

ม่า even it wrote this way but must read as หม่า
the same case in ตลก must read as ตะหลก

and it has nothing to do with อะ in ลก
so it is not changing from อะ to โอะ at all
    this is difference case.

    hope it clears.
if not must ask you institude teacher. they are more expert on this.

the words that vowels are omited in Thai, is very little amount if we compair it too arabic

so, the only way is to memorise each word, and get used to it.

    เพราะคำว่า "ตลก" เป็น แม่กก ค่ะ เมื่อไม่มีรูปสระ จึงให้ออกเสียงเป็น "โอะ"
    รวมถึง แม่กม แม่กง แม่กน แม่กด ด้วย.
