The word itself means future "al-mostaqbal"
You can use it the same way you do in English. That means if you use it to talk about something in the future, you have to put the sentence in the Future Tense.
Ex: سوف أحقق جميع أحلامي في المستقبل Sawfa 'ohaqeq gamee' a'hlamy fe al-mostaqbal (sawfa 2o7aqeq gamee3 27lamy fe al-mostaqbal) I'll make all my dreams come true in the future.
The Future Tense is very easy in Arabic, just put سوف in front of the verb which is in the present or add the letter س at the beginning of the verb. The last example show how to use "sawfa".
For the س, you can put it that way.... سأحقق جميع أحلامي في المستقبل Sa'ohaqeq / sa2o7aqeq.
The keywords for that tense are like any other language (next week, next month, tomorrow...etc.)
I'd like to add that if you used سوف\س the sentence is already in the future, even if there were no keywords, because sometimes you don't need them.
