    It's a misprint. It should read, "Since people born blind do not dream visually..."
    I found this passage in many English reading exercises, and they all have the word "do", not "of".

    It also makes sense this way. Dreaming visually implies eye activity. Not dreaming visually implies no eye activity.

     

    No, they cannot go together. Not in this context.

    The sentence is great if you just get rid of "of not."
