Resolved questions
~지면 and ~ᄅ 수 록 construction?
Hello!
" 멀어지면 멀어질 수 록 점점더 가까이에 있고... (rest of the text goes here)"
Could you please tell me what does the " ~ᄅ 수 록 " part do? How do I use it? Can you show some examples?
And what does ~지면 do here? I know "~지면" as "if not~" (am I correct?) but I don't understand it here.
Also I'm not sure about "~이에 " in " 가까이에 ".
Thank you!!

Hi,
You can use -ㄹ수록/-을수록 in the sentences like "the more is the better/the worse", which means 더 많을수록 더 좋아/더 나빠.
멀어지면 멀어질수록 means the same as 멀어질수록. I think the first 멀어지면 is used for repetition to emphasize the meaning. In general, -면 is used for making the subjunctive mood.
가까이에 = 가까이 + 에 = near/close + at/on/in. '에' is grammatically not necessary here in my opinion, but frequently used to make the sentence smooth or to emphasize the adverb.
