What is the most difficult thing about Portuguese grammar?

It seems like an easy language. Are there any hurdles in the grammar that we must jump?

For me, Portuguese verb forms and tenses are quite difficult, as they have their roots in Latin, which I find quite a hard language to learn. (I have Latin at school and learn Portuguese by myself.)

Hi there! I'll give you my opinion and a tip.
    >>I think there is nothing absurd in portuguese, it's a language that you do not need to be a expert to speak, only if you want to go deeply on the language study and be incredibly polite and "sofisticated" writer or reader. (I'ts my oppinion :-) )
As all the other languages... have i'ts particularity. But is very pretty, emotional charged , and full of histories about the composition of the word.
Because a lot of then are a mix from the tupi indians, African slaves, and traditional Portuguese from portugal. Portuguese from portugal is diferent than Brasilian portuguese.

Then you will see how diversified it became just to change the verbal time.

    Regards!
