Do you know what "KTV" mans?

"KTV" is a common word in Chinese. I know exactly what it means. But I'm not sure if it is proper English. So my question is whether this word is frequently used by native speakers. Do you understand it without a dictionary?

If you mean "KTV"="Karaoke Television", then it's only known as that in the Philippines. Other countries will simply use "karaoke", whether there's a video screen or not.
