What's the difference between 벌써 and 이미?

And what are the best times to use them?

    "벌써" is used when something is done than i thought i would.
    or something is done long time ago.

    "이미" is used when you mention something is done long time ago.
    (yeah, it is similar with "벌써")

    ex) 벌써 일어나려고?
    나는 그 일을 벌써부터 알고 있었다.

    the first sentence cant be swapped for 이미
    but the second sentence can be swapped for 이미

    ANSWER---> 벌써= Long ago, Already
    1)벌써 열 두 시다 = It is twelve o'clock already.
    2)준비는 벌써 다 되어 있다 = Preparation were completed long ago.
    이미 = Not any longer, Yet
    1) 이미 때가 늦었다 = It is now too late.
    2) 수업은 이미 시작됬나요? = Has school begun yet?
