She and He about pets
Strange. Textbooks teach us never say "she" or "he" about pets. Only "it". It appeared, actually Russians and Englishmen say the same about their dogs and cats, she and he.

You can say "he" or "she" about your pet. It shows that you love your pet and treat him/her like a member of the family!
If it's your pet, then as a proper owner you should know its gender: "he/she"
If it's not your pet, it's perfectly fine to use "it".
If it's not your pet, it's perfectly fine to use "it".
