I have used "sounding" as that is what you are asking for.
A question for you: Is that a pipa in your photograph ? And can you play that instrument ?
You could either leave your name as "Yuan" which is easy for English speakers to pronounce. Or if you are a pipa musician, you could use the name "Piper" which is
a commonly used name. And it sounds like the instrument.
