    The humorous answer would be "sparingly' as it does not work.

    Cram means to stuff things into something. So you could cram clothes into a bag.
    It is also used to mean doing frantic last minute study for an exam. So students cram for an exam.

    Craming is not a successful study strategy , hence the humour in my first sentence.

    Think of it as the need to fit something into a tight place. An elevator filled to it's maximum can be considered crammed with people. Can I cram one more thing into this garbage can?

    There is also the term "cramming," which are unauthorized charges added to something like a phone bill. Fraudsters take advantage of hard to read bills that are filled with information and try to cram something extra onto the bill in the hope it won't get noticed.
