What do you do when you have a cold?

Generally a cold lasts for 2 weeks. I drink honey and lemon tea and take Vit C and echinacea tablets. If my nose is blocked, I inhale eucalyptus oil drops in a bowl of hot water with a towel over my head.
As a kid I always heard you must get plenty of rest and drink a lot of water. I believe this to be true. Trying to sleep for many hours is a good thing and makes the cold seem much shorter.
