"dipanggil" = "be called" (passive form)

"panggil" (it is the origin word of memanggil dan dipanggil) = "call" (active form) but it's more common to use "memanggil"
e.g. Pak Asdi memanggil saya = Mr. Asdi called me.

dipanggil ----> For Ex : aku dipanggil oleh ibuku ( I am called by my mother )
panggil ----> For Ex : Panggil dia kesini! (call him here)

Apakah sekarang kau dapat membedakan diantara keduanya?
    "Dipanggil" is a passive form.

"Saya dipanggil pak Adi, tapi saya tak tahu jalannya" = I was called by Mr. Adi to come, but I don't know the way to go to Mr.Adi's place.

"Panggil" means 'call', but not call by phone. It's 'calling/shouting/telling someone to come'.

Panggil Adi! = Call Adi! (So Adi will come)...

Boss memanggilmu = Boss calls you (Boss asks you to come) --> active form....

Kamu dipanggil boss. = You are called by boss (You are called by boss, so you have to come) -- passive form....

'Panggil' can also means 'call her/his name'.

Panggil aku Bento = call me Bento...

Dia memanggilku dengan nama Bento = He calls me (with a name) Bento...

Anjing itu dipanggil dengan nama Bento = The dog is called with (a name) Bento....

"Panggil" can also mean shout/saying someone's name, in order to make that someone recognize our present, or see us.

kupanggil namamu dalam tidurku = I said your name in my sleep.

Ketika aku lewat depan rumahnya, dia memanggilku = When I passed in front of her house, she called me.
