    Hi,

    1) "i" is a conjunction and the most common usage is to connect two nouns. For example:
    - Tomek i Ala są przyjaciółmi - Tom and Alice are friends
    - Kup długopis i zeszyt - Buy a pen and a notebook.

    2) "z" is a preposition which is added to a word and can change the meaning of the sentence. An example:
    - Tomek poszedł z Alą do sklepu - Tom went with Ala to a store
    - Ona nigdy nie nudzi się z przyjaciółmi - she's never bored when she's with her friends.

    3) "a" is a conjunction. Some examples:
    - Tomek jest wysoki a Ala niska - Tom is tall and Alice is short
    - Chcieliśmy się spotkać a Tomek powiedział, że nie przyjdzie - we wanted to meet but Tom said he wasn't going to come
    - A nie mówiłem? - Didn't I tell so?

    4) "taj" there is no such a word in polish

    5) "coraz" is an adverb which is used to express that something is intensifying. For example:
    - coraz więcej ludzi opuszcza kraj - more and more people is leaving the country
    - coraz gorzej mi się z tobą rozmawia - our talks are like from bad to worse
    - jest coraz zimniej - it's colder and colder

I gave you the most common cases but there are many more usages of these words.

I think that she meant "tak" instead of "taj".
    1. "tak" means "yes", e.g.:
    - Czy to jest zielone? Is it green?
    - Tak. Yes, it is.
    2. "tak" means "so" or "such" in such situations:
    - To jest takie małe! It is so small!
    - Jesteś tak głupi, że nie chcę z tobą rozmawiać. You're so stupid that I don't want to talk to you.
    - On nie jest takim złym człowiekiem. He's not such a bad man.
    3. you can use "tak" before that type of sentence: "I wish I..." to make it stronger, e.g.:
    - Tak bym chciał pojechać do Nowego Jorku! How I wish I would go to NY!
    4. "tak" means "in that way", "like this", e.g.:
    - Zróbmy to tak... Let's do this like this...
    5. "tak" in expression "... as well as..." or "both... and..." (tak..., jak i...), e.g.:
    - Tak (or "zarówno") ja, jak i ty poszliśmy tam. Both me and you went there.

there are much more meanings of "tak" but they're not so important :)
