Ok I'll explain you in English.
First of all the word le-hifo "לאיפה" and the word le-an "לאן" it's the same meaning and usually we use them to ask our friends or any other person.
    "where are you going?"
So you can say לאן אתה הולך? לאיפה אתה הולך?
The word ey-fo איפה the meaning is "for something that we are looking for" like some store that we don't know how to find it. Then we ask "where is the store" איפה החנות?
Also if we lost something and we don't know where it is.
Then we ask "where is my shirt?"
    איפה החולצה שלי?
