Kết thúc : + Completely stopped after the process, happen.
example: This film ends in an unexpected way. (bộ phim kết thúc một cách bật ngờ).
The rainy season is coming to an end. (mùa mưa sắp kết thúc)
+ Doing something until finished
ex: The School's Year End Ceremony. (Buổi lễ kết thúc năm học)
The end of the story (phần kết thúc của câu truyện)
Cuối: ( can be use like "kết thúc" in some cases)
+ The final part.
ex: he stood at the end of the line (anh ta đứng ở cuối hàng)
The house at the end of the street. (ngôi nhà ở cuối phố)

+kết thúc chương trình/phim/1 mối tình/sự nghiệp
the opposite word: mở đầu
-Cuối: sometime it's can use like "kết thúc" but often in daily conversation,
+like cuối phim/cuối chương trình(but not really mean this program or film is really over)
+the main different is often use to talk abt things: cuối đường/cuối năm/cuối tuần/cuối ngày(these things never over, just start and end and then start again)
+often use with "cùng": this situation almost like kết thúc=cuối cùng thì...
