Is there difference in meaning between sweep through&fly through?
For example, what's the difference between the following sentences?

There's not much difference, except for the trajectory. A swoop means the bird flies down, then arcs up. A flight implies a straight trajectory (maybe).
This is not related to the word "sweep". The difference here (and you'll use sweep/fly figuratively) is that "sweep" affects the surroundings, and "fly" doesn't.
