    To 'dish about' someone is a slang term meaning to gossip about them, usually about unpleasant details the person might not want to be known.
    The image is one of someone serving something from a dish - in this case, juicy gossip.

     

    A dish is a meal. You serve a dish.

    And that is the idiom. :)
