    1. "Alguma coisa" é sinônimo de "algo" e significa "something" em frases afirtmativas ou "anything" em frases interrogativas.

    Ex:

Precisamos comprar alguma coisa. We need to buy something.
Precisamos comprar alguma coisa? Do we need to buy anything?

    2. "Qualquer coisa" significa "anything" em frases afirtmativas e "just about anything" em frases interrogativas.

    Ex:

Compraria qualquer coisa. He would buy just about anything.
Compraria qualquer coisa? Would he buy just about anything?

    3. Em frases negativas usa-se "nada".

    Ex:

Não comprei nada. I didn't buy anything. I bought nothing.
Não compraram nada? Didn't they buy anything?

Alguma coisa is like "something" and Qualquer Coisa is like "anything". Ok?
