What is the difference between नजर and नज़र?

There is no difference. Just understand that नजर and जरिये do not exist in hindi ! They are spoken thus when wrongly pronounced.
नजर = Najar (WRONG)
नज़र = Nazar (RIGHT)
जरिये = Jariye (WRONG)
ज़रिये = Zariye (RIGHT)
These words have come from Arabic as far as I know and thus the different pronunciation.
