Is the chinese word for "house" connected to the word "corpse"??
If 房子 means house and 尸 is the radical for "corpse", does this mean that the two words are linked?? If so, how?
Because I remember, that my mum once told me when I was little, that chinese houses have those typical chinese roofs, because they believe that the souls of those who've died in the family, rest on the curves of those roofs. Is this true?

The Chinese native speakers should correct me, please, but AFAIK, the radical is 戸 "door", not 尸.

He is right, 戶 (hu4) is a radical that means 'door' and '尸' (shi) is radical that means 'corpse'.
In traditional Chinese the word for corpse is '屍' and '房' for house, here is clearer that they have different radicals '尸 vs 戶'.
