What is the difference between two sentences with and without "ko"?
1) अगर उनके माता-पिता को आपत्ति नहीं करते हैं तो उस लड़की का सम्मान किया जाना चाहिए. BBC Hindi
2) अगर उनके माता-पिता आपत्ति नहीं करते हैं तो उस लड़की का सम्मान किया जाना चाहिए-

there should be no 'ko' in first sentence, when seen through 2nd sentence's perspective.
अगर उनके माता-पिता 'को' 'आपत्ति' नहीं 'है' तो उस लड़की का सम्मान किया जाना चाहिए.
2) अगर उनके माता-पिता आपत्ति नहीं करते हैं तो उस लड़की का सम्मान किया जाना चाहिए-
both of the above sentences mean same.
if mother father do not have objection or a problem (if parents do not object), the girl should be respected
1st may be correct although it sounds odd. Also, the sentence conveys incomplete information.
अगर उनके माता-पिता को आपत्ति नहीं करते हैं तो उस लड़की का सम्मान किया जाना चाहिए.
माता-पिता को आपत्ति - object to parents (regarding something; e.g. its like complaining to parents regarding something, but here we are objecting)
sentence says that if 'someone(plural)' (which is not mentioned in the sentence; the sentence also follows the structure of - "if we dont do 'this' then..." "agar hum aisa nahin karte hain to..." i.e. agar (hum) unke parents ko object nahin karte hain to...) does not object to parents then the girl should be respected.
