قد means may be
قد يكون هذا صحيحا
this may be true
قد أفعل هذا او لا افعله
I may do this or do not.

it use to many means
1. maybe
example: maybe I'm true : قد اكون صحيح or ربما انا صحيح
here قد = ربما both means maybe
2. to means it's for sure ( use for last only)
example: I come (in the last) = جئت or انا جئت or اتيت or انا اتيت
but when we add قد, it will be for sure
قد اتيت or قد جئت
it means I came but for sure, I think it symmetry "I have came" in English
