When I have to use each case in the Polish language?

I don't know when I should use each case in one phrase. Which case I must use when I'm going to say one phrase.

    Read from page 13.

    That's not so easy - different verbs require different cases, for example: "I see a dress. - [Ja] widzę (B.) sukienkę." or "He's a good man. - On jest (N.) dobrym człowiekiem.".
    I'm pretty sure there are some rules but, honestly, I don't know them, I use cases automatically as a native speaker...
