Can someone tell me how the word 〜まで would be used?

I believe it means to a place, or as far as a place, or until a time. But how would you use it in a sentence? Where is it's proper place? Thanks in advance.

for time, in english it means "until".
and for place, in english it means "to" "for".
= Where are you going?
= I'm going around the corner.
☆Here is one more thing of まで for time.
As you can see, "までに" means in english it's "by". and also it's very useful.
