Resolved questions
Are there any tricks to remember verbs in French?
Seriously, it's hard for me to remember them. I try, but fail over and over. Now, I'm very confused.

In order to remember which verbs take the auxillary 'être', the following is very helpful.
MRS VANDERTRAMP
M-Monter
R-Rester
S-Sortir
V-Venir
A-Aller
N-Naitre
D-Descendre
E-Entrer
R-Rentrer
T-Tomber
R-Retourner
A-Arriver
M-Mourir
P-Partir

Learn them as if it was a song! For example:
être
je suis
tu es
il est
nous sommes
vous êtes
ils sont
Repeat it several times in a row and after a while it'll become very easy for you. You can sing as well if you can sing :)

I think I can relate. Because you already know English you easily get fooled by similar but different words. Besides, it takes more patience than you might have expected.
I would suggest remembering each by using it on a daily basis. Associate the word and the situations in which you can use the word.
As for conjugation, because it follows a set pattern, focus on the first person form first and the rest will follow. Hopefully. :)
